Renee is in the pink of condition

08 Feb, 2010 09:52 AM
CRANBOURNE resident Renee Sayliss is thinking pink to raise money for leukaemia research.

She will be among more than 125,000 people expected to shave or colour their hair for this year's World's Greatest Shave fund-raiser for the Leukaemia Foundation.

"I'm planning to go vibrant pink, as bright as you can get," she said.

Mrs Sayliss said her parents had always encouraged charity efforts. "This time I thought I'd branch out a bit and do something a bit more daring."

Mrs Sayliss was also motivated by the plight of her grandfather, William Funston, who has had countless skin grafts since suffering from skin cancer for a decade.

Most participants will shave or colour their hair between March 11-13.
